
New York State Police Violent Gang Narcotics Unit Arrest Hudson Valley Man On Drug and Firearms Charges
New York State Police make arrest following a Hudson Valley drug ring investigation.
The drug bust you are about to read about took large amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, assorted pills and several firearms off the streets and out of the hands of the bad guys. Here are the details.

On Wednesday August 20th, according to a press release, New York State Police Troop K Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) executed a search warrant at a private residence, on New Hackensack Road in LaGrange, where Troopers discovered the following items:
- 7 firearms (stolen, defaced, or loaded)
- 82.8 grams of cocaine
- 119.6 grams of crack cocaine
- 21.4 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
- 2.8 grams of assorted pills
- Digital scales
- $405 in cash
New York State Police arrested 30-year-old Cody T. Gilmore and charged him with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd
- A conviction could carry a sentence of 3 to 10 years in state prison
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd
- A conviction could carry a sentence of 1 to 9 years in prison
- 6 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd
- Each of the six counts of this charge could result in a prison sentence of 3 1/2 to 15 years.
- Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th
- A conviction could carry a potential prison sentence of 1 to 4 years
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th
- A conviction could carry a jail sentence of up to one year.
Gilmore was arraigned before the Town of LaGrange Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center without bail.
