Following opening sets by Suicidal Tendencies and Pantera, Metallica ripped through a 16-song set featuring huge hits such as Enter Sandman, Sad But True and Nothing Else Matters as well as classic s such as Hit the Lights and Creeping Death.
Prior to the Syracuse show, lead singer and guitarist James Hetfield was spotted around town. It was nice to see James shopping local at Syracuse Cooperative Market on Salina Street.
Metallica will be back in action April 24th and April 26th in Toronto, Canada. The Syracuse show was one of the few one-night-stands on the current M72 Tour.
If we are not mistaken, the last time Metallica played Syracuse was July of 1996 on the Lollapalooza Tour at the New York State Fairgrounds.
Perhaps members of Metallica will be spotted celebrating Easter around Central New York. You never know where you might run into one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Here's what it looked like inside the Snake Pit for the Pantera set.
