Bank robberies are just in the movies right? Wrong! According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) there were 1,263 bank related robberies in the United States in 2023. As we begin 2025 we have at least one to report here in New York State.

New York State Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the individual pictured below. This person is wanted for questioning regarding a bank robbery that took place on Monday January 6th in Cayuga County.

On Monday January 6, 2025, at approximately 3:25pm, the Savannah Bank located at 126 Main Street in Port Byron, NY was allegedly robbed by a masked man. The suspect left the scene on foot and was last seen heading southbound on Main Street.

Identifying this suspect will ne be easy. Take a look at the pictures below. Is there anything that is familiar to you? Grey hoodie-style sweatshirt, black face mask, the way he carries himself. Anyone with information is asked to contact the New York State Police at 585-398-4100 or crimetip@troopers.ny.gov
