Albany County Lebanese Restaurant For Sale Due to Health Reasons
An Albany County Lebanese restaurant that has been in its new location for a little over a year is officially up for sale.
Brenda Hage, the owner of Teta Marie's recently shared with NEWS10 ABC that the restaurant will close once the sale goes through due to family health concerns.
We’re selling because we have to relocate out of state,” Hage explained. “My husband needs a kidney transplant.
Brenda first opened Teta Marie’s in September 2020 on Ontario Street in Cohoes. The restaurant quickly gained popularity and outgrew its original location. That led to a move to a larger space in Watervliet, in the old Papa’s building, where it reopened in August 2023.
Teta Marie’s has been serving delicious Lebanese dishes like falafel, stuffed grape leaves, kabobs, shawarma, salads, and more.
Now, the restaurant is listed for $75,000 as a turnkey operation with Limelight Leasing. The sale includes everything: kitchen equipment, furnishings, and fixtures, plus the current lease, which runs $3,000 a month. Anyone interested can check out the full listing on Limelight Leasing’s website.
Teta Marie’s will stay open until the business finds a new owner. As for the future, Brenda says things are up in the air, but they plan to return to the Capital Region once her husband is back on his feet.
