You know you have made a real impact in the Capital Region when you get your own Stewart’s ice cream flavor.

Proctors is celebrating its 100th anniversary season with something sweet. The historic Schenectady theater has teamed up with Stewart’s Shops to create Centennial Celebration, a limited edition flavor honoring a century of entertainment and memories.

What's In The Proctors' Ice Cream?

The flavor features vanilla ice cream packed with cookie dough pieces, brownies, and a fudge swirl. Basically, it is a celebration in a cone.

Centennial Celebration will be available at participating Stewart’s ice cream counters throughout the Capital Region from October 5th through January 31st. The timing leads right into Proctors’ official 100th birthday celebration on December 27th.

Proctors Proud of the Honor and Recognition

According to a Proctors press release, Proctors CEO Philip Morris says the theater has spent the past century bringing people together, making Stewart’s a perfect partner for the milestone. Both are instantly recognizable parts of the Capital Region and have helped generations of local families create lasting memories.

Stewart’s president Chad Kiesow says the company is proud to help honor Proctors and its long history of building community through shared experiences.

Proctors first opened its doors in downtown Schenectady on December 27, 1926. Since then, audiences have filled the theater for vaudeville acts, movies, Broadway productions, concerts, comedy shows, and community events.
