HBO’s The Gilded Age Now Casting Paid Extras in Capital Region
If you have ever wanted to be on TV, this could be your shot. HBO’s “The Gilded Age” is coming back to film in the Capital Region, and they are looking for local extras in Troy and Albany.
The show is set in New York City in the 1880s and focuses on the clash between old-money and new-money families. It has earned multiple Emmy nominations and features a cast that includes Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, and Louisa Jacobson. It is heading into its fourth season and once again plans to film scenes in our area this summer.
Who Are They Looking For?
Casting directors are looking for men 18 and older to play upscale event guests. They are also casting Black or African American actors for similar roles.
There are a few requirements. You need to be comfortable around light smoke effects and willing to have your hair styled to match the time period. Visible tattoos or piercings that cannot be removed will not work for these roles.
When Will You Be Needed?
Filming is expected on select dates in late May and June, with a fitting scheduled in early May. If you are chosen, you need to be available for everything.
