New York’s Only Floating Sauna Is Now Open

One Unique Setting
Inspired by the famous saunas of Scandinavia and paired with Saratoga’s legendary mineral waters, KOS brings heat, cold plunges, and community together in one seriously unique setting.
KOS was founded by Kate, who lived in Oslo for 7 years and fell in love with the floating sauna culture. The name “Kos” (pronounced “cozy” without the “y”) reflects the Norwegian idea of "enjoying simple pleasures, especially when shared with others."
You and 14 of Your Closest Friends
According to creators, the floating sauna accommodates up to 15 people and features expansive lake views, a roof terrace, changing rooms, and access to drinking water sourced directly from Saratoga’s mineral springs.
Guests rotate through cycles of heat, lake plunges, and rest during 90-minute social sauna sessions, or can reserve the entire sauna for private group experiences.
Membership options range from single visits and punch passes to monthly unlimited plans, with a portion of membership fees supporting local seed preservation and biodiversity. KOS also offers team-building events and special gatherings, often paired with post-sauna dining at Lago by Druthers.
Health Benefits
KOS benefits include reduced blood pressure, heart disease, stroke risk, Alzheimer’s, respiratory disease, arthritis, headache, and flu, as well as being packed with endorphins to give you a euphoric boost.
For those looking to warm up this winter in a completely different way, Saratoga Springs now has something no other place in New York can claim — a floating escape that’s equal parts wellness, community, and wow factor.
