Local Woman to Appear on Jeopardy! Tonight

The Capital Region has someone to cheer for tonight as Colonie's Jessica Davis takes her shot on Jeopardy!

Jessica, a New York State employee and 2006 graduate of UAlbany, will compete on the long-running trivia show tonight (Tuesday) at 7:30 p.m. on WTEN, hosted by Ken Jennings.

Now, I'll be the first to admit it—I am absolutely terrible at Jeopardy!, but I do watch on occasion just to humble myself.

If the category isn't country music or pop hits from the last 25 years, UFOs, or sports involving the Cowboys, Yankees, Knicks, or Syracuse, I'm in serious trouble. By the time I've figured out the category, the contestants have already buzzed in with three correct answers.

Jessica, on the other hand, is about to stand under the bright lights and answer questions on just about everything imaginable.

I'll take 'Sorry, You're on Mute' for $400

That said... I'm kind of hoping that the show writers throw her a bone with a category like "Meetings That Could've Been an Email" for $400, "How Many Breaks Am I Entitled To?" for $200, or "Please Don't Microwave Tuna Casserole" for $500.

Something tells me she'd have those locked up.

In all seriousness, it's always fun seeing someone from the Capital Region on a national stage, and we'll be pulling for Jessica when she represents Colonie and Upstate New York tonight.

Good luck, Jessica! We'll be watching.
