New Halloween Experience Brings Horror Movies to Life in Upstate NY
Local Drive-In Theatre Adds Halloween Attraction
The giant glowing screen, rows of cars sitting in a field, and, somewhere beyond that screen, nothing but darkness. Although I've never experienced it, I'd imagine there’s something inherently creepy about a drive-in movie theater after dark.
Apparently, someone at an Upstate New York drive-in looked at all that darkness and thought: You know what this needs? Monsters.

Horror BEHIND The Screen
Terror Behind the Screen is a new Halloween attraction at the Ozoner 29 Drive-In Theatre in Broadalbin, and it's more than a night of scary movies.
Guests choose a time for a guided haunted tour through the fields and forest, where creatures, scares, and plenty of creepy surprises are waiting. According to organizers, the story eventually puts guests inside their own horror movie as a ritual in the forest awakens something evil.

What You Need To Know
- Terror Behind the Screen also includes horror movies, drive-in concessions, and a craft fair-style bazaar featuring artisan souvenirs.
- Guests can arrive at the drive-in anytime after 6 p.m., with haunted tours beginning at 6:30 p.m. and scheduled throughout the evening.
- The attraction runs over multiple nights during the Halloween season, including Halloween night.

Apple picking and leaf peeping are great, but if your preferred fall activity involves voluntarily walking through a dark Upstate New York forest while strangers attempt to scare the cider donut out of you, this might be more your speed.
