Notre Dame’s Cheer Team and Band Host Pep Rally for Kids in Troy
ND Holds Pep Rally in Troy
We know which team many Troy residents will root for during the women's March Madness games at MVP Arena in Albany this weekend.
I think it's safe to say that the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be the sentimental favorite for many in the City of Troy after it was learned that the team's band and cheerleaders made an impromptu stop at Public School 18 for a little pre-game pep rally.
The 2-seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish are one of eight teams vying for a spot in the NCAA Final Four if they can win a few games in Albany over the weekend. ND takes on the Oregon State Beavers at MVP Arena in Albany on Friday at 2:30 and if they win, they'll play the winner Indiana vs South Carolina which will tip-off at around 5 pm on Friday.
The @notredame band and cheerleaders visited School 18 this morning before their game at MVP Arena in Albany. It’s safe to say our students and staff are the newest fans of the #FightingIrish! Thank you for spending some time with us this morning!
But the Fighting Irish are already winners in the eyes of Capital Region residents who can't help but root for them after seeing how much joy they brought to kids in Troy on Thursday.
