The New York Jets defeated the San Diego Chargers 27-21 thanks to a 3 touchdown day by Plaxico Burress.

Plaxico Burress, who signed as a free agent after serving his nearly 2 year jail term, had his biggest day as a member of the New York Jets. Burress hauled in 3 touchdowns, had 4 receptions for 25 yards.

The Jets defense came up big, especially once the Jets were down 21-10. Darrell Revis had a big 64-yard interception, which led to a Jets touchdown hauled in by Burress. Kyle Wilson also had an interception in the game for 10 yards. That interception led to a field goal late in the game.

Mark Sanchez had a pretty good game going 18-33 with 173 yards but had the 3 touchdown passes to Plaxico Burress and also threw one interception. Philip Rivers was sub-par for his San Diego Chargers only going 16/32, throwing for 179 yards, throwing one touchdown pass and throwing the two interceptions.

The Jets are off in week 8 and will travel to Buffalo to face off against the Buffalo Bills in week 9 for their next game. This will be a very important game considering it's a division game and with their current record, the divisional tiebreaker could decide their playoff fate.
