The race saw it's share of problems with a crash on the first lap involving Landon Cassill, AJ Allmendinger and Martin Truex Jr. Twelve laps later saw another crash involving J.J Yeley, Tony Raines and Reed Sorensen. Speeding in the pits was also a problem throughout the race as their were 22 speeding penalties assessed including Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson twice. Busch would also have to go to the garage midway through the race for engine problems, a problem he would have the week before. Greg Biffle's engine would fail as well.
As far as the actual racing went, there was no true dominant car as quite a few drivers led their fare share of laps. With 10 laps to go the racing was fast and furious as many were hoping dealing with fuel issues. Logano and Mark Martin would battle it out for the lead with Logano getting the best of the veteran in the last 4 laps. Tony Stewart would take third, Jimmie Johnson would overcome the 2 speeding penalties for fourth and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top 5.
