Legendary ‘Murderous’ Comedians Set to Perform Three Shows in Upstate NY

One of the most beloved comedic duos of a generation is back on the road, and is set to come to Upstate New York multiple times over the next few months. The duo, Steve Martin and Martin Short, are embarking on The Dukes of Funnytown tour, a tour which will feature three stops in Upstate cities between now and May.

Martin and Short will be taking a break from their hit TV series, Only Murders in the Building, in order to do a different form of killing on stages across the country very soon.

Steve Martin, Martin Short to Bring New Tour to Upstate NY Three Times

As noted in a story from New York Upstate, Steve Martin and Martin Short's The Dukes of Funnytown tour will be making multiple stops in the Empire State in the coming months. The duo will perform at the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse on May 3, 2024, following which they will be at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre in Buffalo on May 4.

Before those dates, they will also play a show at The Event Center at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona on November 12th. That show, according to Steve Martin's website, is part of their previous tour, entitled You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!

Martin and Short, along with Selena Gomez, star in the Hulu original series Only Murders in the Building, a show that's been met with rave reviews during its three seasons on the streaming service.

The two first worked together in the classic comedy film The Three Amigos, and as noted by the LA Times, you can find them sharing the screen in the “Father of the Bride” movies, with Martin as the titular father and Short as an incomprehensible wedding planner, and as animated high priests in “The Prince of Egypt.” Martin guested on three of the six episodes of Short’s NBC variety series “Maya and Marty."
