Another local team looks to bring some hardware back to the capital region. The Spring Renegades of Troy will represent the capital region in the 2017 Cal Ripken World Series.

The Renegades have had nothing short of an extraordinary season to this point. At 40-3 on the season, they have dominated their opposition.

In All-Star play, they went 14-1, while outscoring opponents 156-16. Their offense can hit the long-ball too as in their 14 victories, eleven of their players combined to hit a total of 43 home runs. But their team isn't just an offensive juggernaut. They can pitch as well. In elimination games, their arms have been clutch, striking out 19 batters without giving up a single run.
