LSU Defense Shuts Down Mississippi State 19-6

A sold defensive performance from the #3 LSU Tigers helped them along to a big win over #25 Mississippi State.

It was such a big match up that Mississippi State ended up cancelling classes on Thursday in anticipation of the rivalry game.  Turns out they might have been better off in class because the LSU Tigers came out on fire last night to beat Mississippi State 19-6.

The LSU defense held Miss. State to 193 total yards and just two field goals last night.  The senior QB of LSU, Jarrett Lee had a great game completing 21 of 27 passes for 213 yards.  he had some big help from RB Spencer Ware who rushed for 107 yards last night, which was 73 more rush yards than Miss. State had in total.

LSU has now won 12 straight games against Miss. State dating back to 1999.
