The Buffalo Bills have released defender Mario Williams, after not finding a middle ground on his contract reconstruction. This saves the team $12 Million dollars in cap room. Williams had a cap hit of $19.9 million and $16.5 million for the final two years of his contract.

He was with the Bills for four seasons, and totaled 43 sacks during his tenure with the team. The 31-year old is thought to be one of the premier pass rushers in the league, and should have no trouble finding another team immediately.
