Matt Holliday hit an absolute moon shot off of Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Ryan Dempster on Friday night.

St. Louis Cardinals left fielder Matt Holliday is quietly having a very productive season.  After Friday's 4-1 win against the Chicago Cubs, Holliday is batting .319 with 15 home runs and 60 RBIs.  The Cardinals are now 48-45 and trail the Cincinnati Reds by five games in the NL Central.

Holliday's 469-foot blast was the longest home run in Busch Stadium III history.  The ball sailed past Big Mac Land.  You've got to be country strong to be able to hit a ball that far.  Plus, Holliday didn't hit this blast off of some Joe Blow pitcher.  Ryan Dempster has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season.  Hopefully, this homer by Holliday and a 4-1 win against the Lovable Losers will jumpstart my Redbirds.
