Scary Moment For Micah Hyde At Training Camp
There are two goals for NFL training camps. The first is to get ready for the upcoming season. The second is to stay healthy.
Staying healthy is something that the Bills have been pretty good at over the last couple years. There's nothing worse for a football team than to have high hopes dashed because of injury to key players.
As of right now, there is still questions about how serious the injury was for Buffalo Bills starting safety Micah Hyed at practice today.
What we know is that he had an interception, but that he dropped it as soon as he hit the ground. Then he was down on the field for a minute. He was able to walk off the field on his own but then was taken to the locker room on a cart. That's normally a bad sign, but not always. At camp, they want to avoid creating bigger injuries from small ones.
According to the Buffalo Bills' Sal Capaccio, it could be a glute/hip issue.
Hopefully it's just a bruise that will be sore for a couple days.
Hyde is part of one of the most formidable safety tandems in the NFL alongside Jordan Poyer and is one of the team's biggest leaders.
The Bills are still early in training camp but the first preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts is a little more than 2 weeks away. The first game will be here before you know it though against the Superbowl Champion LA Rams.
