Shocking news from the baseball world tonight.  It's being reported by ESPN that reigning NL MVP Ryan Braun tested positive for PEDs in late October of the 2011 season.  Braun won the MVP after a great season that led the Brewers to their first division title in 30 or so years.  Now there will be a smear on that accomplishment.

The most troubling fact is that MLB apparently knew about the positive test a month before naming Braun the MVP.  MLB claims that they did not announce the test because Braun is disputing the result.   A source told OTL that the substance that came up positive in the test was something not produced by Braun's body.

It begs the question, did MLB keep this a secret because everyone was riding the Brewers bandwagon?  Would it have hurt them financially?  Does Braun deserve to keep the MVP?  All these questions are sure to be answered in the coming weeks.
