This is one of the craziest buzzer-beaters you will ever see.  New Rochelle pulled out a win against Mt. Vernon in a manner that you probably have never seen before.

New Rochelle beat Mt. Vernon in the New York Section I AA Championship game on Sunday 61-60.  New Rochelle won the game in one of the most unconventional ways of all time.  The player who inbounded the ball with 2.9 seconds left actually made a 60-foot shot after committing a turnover on the same play.  Yeah, crazy.

Khalil Edney of New Rochelle threw a poor inbounds pass that was intercepted by Mt. Vernon.  The player tossed the ball in the direction of his teammate, but Edney picked off the pass.  Khalil Edney fired the ball with 0.1 second remaining and actually connected.  Unbelievable!!  I can honestly say that I’ve never seen this before.  Congratulations to New Rochelle.  Man, what a tough way for Mt. Vernon to lose a game.
