Another Great New York State Fair is in the books, with the last week being one of the most impressive in recent memory. Records were broken, strawberry milk sold out on day one, but maybe the most noteworthy was one major celebrity’s rare public appearance after a torrent of controversy in the past year.

This celeb has been laying low since a major incident in late 2021 that left him jobless and unable to find work after a shocking and very public death. The reason why he returned to the Fair is a touching continuation of a legacy closer to him than any scandal could go.

Alec Baldwin has not ventured out much into the public eye since the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie Rust. Hutchins was killed when Baldwin fired an improperly loaded prop gun in her direction in October of 2021. No charges have been filed against the actor, but he has greatly suffered in the court of public opinion. In an interview with CNN last month, Baldwin said the shooting has taken years off his life and that he’s lost five acting jobs since.

Syracuse resident Jeff Forsyth took pictures of his mom with the 64-year-old actor on Sunday near the Fair’s Science and Industry pavilion. According to Syracuse.com, Forsyth said his brief encounter with Baldwin was friendly and extremely polite. Baldwin was visiting The Baldwin Fund booth at the fairgrounds, to continue his family’s charitable work.

The Baldwin Fund has raised millions of dollars for breast cancer research since it was started by Alec’s mother, Carol Baldwin, in 1996. Carol was a breast cancer survivor, Syracuse native, and graduate of Syracuse University who passed away in May of this year at 92.

PICTURES: See Inside 'Yellowstone' Star Hassie Harrison's Spectacular $2.7 Million Villa

Yellowstone star Hassie Harrison is selling her stunning villa in a private California canyon, and pictures show a rare property that's worth every penny of her nearly $2.7 million asking price.

Harrison's 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom, 2,579-square-foot home was built in 1958 and has since been updated into a Mediterranean-style villa.

The property is remarkably secluded, with just one small, private road leading to the gated front of the home. It opens onto soaring canyon views at the back of the property, and almost every interior room boasts stunning views out over the canyons, while the exterior boasts outdoor living spaces, a fireplace and more.
