Who will be the Giants next coach?
The New York Giants have not been a good football team for quite some time. However, for the first time in a while, Giant fans actually have a glimmer of hope. Rookies Jaxson Dart, Abdul Carter, and Cam Skattebo were everything fans hoped they'd be, yet the team still only won 4 games and is picking 5th in the NFL draft. Head coach Brian Daboll got the boot on November 10th after a 2-8 start to the season, and since then the team didn't look much better.
The Daboll firing especially hit QB Jaxson Dart hard, as he went from looking like a lock for rookie of the year to barely being able to get the ball in the end zone. Naturally, you'd think whoever the Giants choose as their next head coach, it has to be someone who can help Dart get back to the explosive playmaking fans had seen earlier on in the year.

One thing that does work in the Giants favor, this may be the best offseason in years in terms of available coaches to hire. With both Cleveland and Baltimore parting ways with Kevin Stefanski and John Harbaugh, they both leap to the top of the board for any team searching for a new head coach. Harbaugh has already shown interest in QB Jaxson Dart and could very well be a piece that attracts the Super Bowl winning coach to New York.
Both Stefanski and former head coach Mike McCarthy have already conducted interviews with the organization, and remain highly touted candidates alongside Harbaugh. As of right now Harbaugh remains the overwhelming favorite, but every team with an opening will do what they can to lure the longtime Ravens coach to their sidelines.
Whoever the new coach is, they join a team with a lot of young talent to work with, and the expectations that follow.
