The AFC East division is going to be one of the most fun to watch throughout the NFL season, and no I'm not talking about the Jets and Dolphins race for the number one pick.

The New England Patriots shocked everyone last year with a dominant regular season ultimately leading to them taking the division title from Buffalo. Now they return with a much more daunting schedule than last year, a new number one wide receiver in AJ Brown, and a dream to be back in the Super Bowl in consecutive seasons.

The Buffalo Bills on the other hand went through quite a few changes after making the playoffs as a wild card team last year. Offensive coordinator turned head coach Joe Brady will certainly be under some pressure to make it further than Sean McDermott did. Plus the organization finally gave Josh Allen a true number one option at receiver for the first time since Stefon Diggs left.

Both of these teams enter a season in which a lot of AFC teams look like they could compete for a championship, making the race for the division that much more important. A first round bye in this AFC is a huge advantage going into the playoffs.

Both teams enter the season in very different spots though. The Patriots are trying to win before Drake Maye's rookie contract is up, and they can build an extremely deep team around him. The Bills on the other hand are trying to not waste any more of Josh Allen's career, as they must understand he is only going to continue to get older.

If I had to choose, I'd give the edge to the Bills, but it'll be back and forth all season long, that we can say for sure.
