"If I could just tell the fans out there, don’t panic," said Ryan, on 98.7 ESPN Radio, Friday. "This is a long process. When it’s all said and done, let’s see how we've improved the team.

"I’m extremely confident we’re going to improve the team. I love the guys that we have. At the end of the year, we showed that are a team on the rise.

"I think we’re going to add some players that are going to help us. It might not be in the timely fashion that maybe the fans want but at the end of the day we’re going to be happy with the team we’re going to training camp with."

Timely fashion? That's the damn truth. With only two notable free agent signings (RT Breno Giacomini and WR Eric Decker), the Jets have the third most money under cap amongst NFL teams.

Want to know who the Jets are in the same group with? The Oakland Raiders and the Cleveland Browns.

If Gang Green doesn't get on it and quit talking publicly about how "everything is going to be fine," Jets Nation might have to get used to being lumped in conversations (and standings) with those two teams.
