Can’t say I am shocked with RPI’s decision to cancel fall sports. At the end of the day they are putting the safety of their student athletes first, and that’s the way it should be. Why take any chances? There are just too many unknowns regarding the Coronavirus, and RPI felt it wasn’t worth starting fall sports and then having to stop if there is second wave. That’s just one of many reasons including the headache of traveling to state’s where there is a spike in the virus. My guess is, RPI was one of the first to cancel, but they won’t be the last.
