The RPI Engineers will take the field this weekend to advance to Division 3 football's Final Four. In what many would consider a huge upset, RPI defeated #3 ranked Brockport 21-13. The Engineers now travel to Baltimore to take on Johns Hopkins. Kickoff is set for 12pm.

The Engineers are making their second appearance ever in the NCAA quarterfinals. The football program is 1-0 all-time in the quarterfinal round as they topped Ithaca, 21-16 in 2003. That season RPI  lost to St. John's (MN) just one game shy of playing for a national championship.

The winner of the Johns Hopkins-RPI game will play the winner of the Mount Union-Muhlenberg game in the NCAA Semifinals on Saturday, December 8.  The Mount Union Purple Raiders have dominated Division 3 football for close to two decades. Since 1993, The Purple Raiders have won thirteen national championships and since 1998 have appeared in the national title game eighteen times.  The location and time of that game will be announced on Sunday, December 2. What would a RPI football Final Four appearance mean for the program? Let us know below.
