It was a scary scene for Casper Wells on Wednesday night - the Schenectady native was hit in the face by a pitch from Toronto's Brandon Morrow.

But after a day off, Wells was back in the lineup for the Seattle Mariners in Friday night's 3-2 loss to Tampa Bay.

Wells was Seattle's designated hitter on Friday.  He went 1 for 4 with three strikeouts.  It was nice to see him back in action after Wednesday's incident.  Wells is lucky the pitch just grazed his nose because it could have resulted in a lot worse.

Wells has five homers and 12 RBI in 14 games since his arrival from Detroit.  He's hitting .276 with 9 homers and 24 RBIs this season.
