The Cleveland Cavaliers went into the Oracle last night and gave the Golden State Warriors all they could handle...until the second over time. Factor in a bone head play from JR Smith, a questionable call from the Refs and Tristan Thompson losing his cool and the Warriors win game one. Does The Sporting News' Sean Deveny think there's a lasting message we should take from game one?

Should we look at the Cavs effort and think they can make a real series out of this or is the message more to the effect of the Cavs missed their best chance to swing the series in their favor? Deveny sadly thinks it's the latter. The game went about as well as Lebron and the Cavs could of hoped but then the wheels came off and there was a sense that the Cavaliers had all the air let out of their sales and may not get it back.
