Hockey fans constantly make jokes about the NHL and how they continually botch easy marketing opportunities. The league's television blackout rules, especially for fans that are paying for every available premium service that the NHL has to offer in the Capital District of New York, are comical.

Bud Selig has been the Major League Baseball commissioner during the 1994 labor strike that cancelled the World Series and the steroid era, which isn't over with the recent developments of Biogeneis.  Gary Bettman, meantime, has overseen three work stoppages and a cancellation of an entire season with Stanley Cup playoffs in his role as NHL commissioner...

Perhaps the children have finally left the room (that's you Gary Bettman and some would say Donald Fehr) and allowed the adults to make a deal? I'm not sure if we are on the verge of a deal as the language has changed a bit after long negotiations on Wednesday after much optimism came from the talks on Tuesday...

Ah, yes.  You have to love fans that always talk tough when it comes to permanently turning their back on a sport they love.

The NHL Board of Governors approved a paradigm destroying plan that would shift the NHL to a four conference league, rather than a two conference - six division one.

For years I've been a frustrated NHL fan.  It's been my opinion that ever since the lock-out, Gary Bettman and the NHL have done an awful job marketing the game.
