The Jets are certainly not the Giants.  They don't have the rings or the head coach or the quarterback or the front office or the fan base or the history.  But if you needed another reminder why the organizations play football on different planets, the release of Tim Tebow by the Jets gives you one more.

There was once a time when a team copied the power-sweep Packers running game or the 1970's high-flying Steeler and Cowboy offense or the 1980's West Coast 49er offense installed by Bill Walsh.  Or the current spread offenses in the NFL that we see today.  Now, this coming season, we will see a different copycat mode back in the NFL, this time for the pistol or the read option made somewhat famous

Jets general manager John Idzik has made it very clear that this is his club and he will bring in his own people.  Tim Tebow was released.  Darrelle Revis was traded.  Geno Smith was drafted.  Who plays quarterback is probably the number one question going into 2013 for Gang Green...

So many holes to fill.  And two picks to start with in this year's NFL Draft for the New York Jets.  General manager John Idzik has the 9th and 13th pick in this year's draft and could cornerback first, especially now that Darrelle Revis' Island is now in Tampa Bay...
