It's Super Bowl weekend in Section II football. The Columbia at Shenendehowa battle for the Class AA championship will kick off the schedule on Friday at 7 p.m. at Steuerwald Stadium.
Section II football will start its "second season" on Friday, Oct. 21. Pairings for the postseason tournament were announced Sunday morning at CBA of Albany.
Victor Fox of Bethlehem High School took medalist honors at the Section II State Golf Qualifier held at Orchard Creek (Altamont) on Thursday. Nine golfers qualified for a berth on the Section II team which will compete in the state tournament at Cornell University in June 2012.
