For anyone who questioned Wade Hansen in the past, he's happy to have proved you wrong. From Class C football in Section 2 at Tamarac to RPI to Virginia Tech of the ACC. And for people questioning how long Hansen's football career might last, he's eager to quiet that crowd as well.

After signing with the Steelers out of Virginia Tech and playing in two preseason games with Pittsburgh, Hansen's journey in the sport most recently took him to Japan where he played on the same team as childhood friend and former Troy High and Iowa running back Jordan Canzeri. Now, it's time for a new chapter. One he hopes to write very close to home.

Wade Hansen is set to tryout for the Albany arena football team and it's hard to imagine him not making it. The 6'5" 320-pound offensive lineman is a perfect fit for the team. Not only as a local talent who will draw fans to the Times Union Center, but also for the style of play required in the Arena Football League.
