Stop me if you've heard this one before, a key member of the New York Yankees suffers a freak injury that could sideline them for a while. The latest member of the Yankees to enter this club is pitcher Masahiro Tanaka. During the first "Summer Camp" practice Tanaka took a line drive to the head off the bat of Outfielder Giancarlo Stanton.

I hate to be the guy that provides multiple angles of something this nasty but hey you don't have to click play.

The good or should I say great news is that Tanaka seems optimistic about his speedy recovery.

In an article at ESPN.com Yankees' manager Aaron Boone said the following:

"He came in around noon today and was in really good spirits," Boone said. "Got a really good night sleep; no loss of appetite. We're encouraged where he is and we'll take it day by day, but hopefully it's not something that'll take too long. Since he got to the hospital, he's pretty much been symptom-free and feeling good ... [was] in good spirits popping around today, so I think at this point we're really encouraged."
