The Yankees and Orioles had a classic pitchers duel at Camden Yards last night. Masahiro Tanaka and Kevin Gausman were lights out in the hitters ballpark, each not allowing a run.

Both pitchers threw 8 scoreless innings. Tanaka struck out 7 Orioles and gave up five hits while Gausman K'd four Yankees and gave up only three hits.

Johnny Barbato came in to relieve Dellin Betances who threw a perfect 9th inning and let on the eventual winning run that scored on Pedro Alvarez' sac fly to centerfield in the 10th.

Tanaka gave the Yankees a bit of hope in their rotation. The day after C.C. Sabathia threw 7 shutout innings, Tanaka answered the call and thus far has shown to be the Yankees ace. However, Tanaka has one of the lowest amounts of run support on the team. Should the Yankees bats turn around, Tanaka can make them a dangerous team whenever he starts.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi was ejected in the 4th after arguing two missed balk calls that would have scored a run for the Yankees.

With the loss, the Yankees finish their road trip a miserable 2-7.

They look to bounce back against the Red Sox at the stadium this weekend.
