
Tennessee Titans Beat Pittsburgh Steelers, 26-23, on Rob Bironas’ FG
Rob Bironas kicked a 40-yard field goal as time expired, and the Tennessee Titans beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 26-23, on Thursday night in Nashville.Bironas' kick, his fourth field goal of the game, came after Steelers' kicker Shaun Suisham had a 54-yard attempt fall short with 49 seconds remaining.
Trailing for much of the second and third quarters, Pittsburgh (2-3) built a 23-16 lead with 8:18 to play after Suisham's 52-yard field goal split the uprights. However, Matt Hasselbeck threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Britt with 4:19 left to tie the game for Tennessee (2-4).
Hasselbeck was 25-of-44 for 290 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Titans' running back Chris Johnson carried 19 times for 91 yards. Ben Roethlisberger completed 24 of 40 pass attempts for 363 yards, a touchdown and an interception for the Steelers, while teammate Isaac Redman had four catches for 105 yards.
