The New York Team that the G.O.A.T. Loves to Beat
It's no secret that Tom Brady likes to win and he's good at it, maybe the best. The 7 time Super Bowl champion could have as many as 9, if not for one particular franchise. Does that still eat at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 44 year old quarterback? Yup, Brady himself admits he is not a fan of the New York Giants, whom his Bucs face on Monday Night Football this week.
The most decorated quarterback in NFL history certainly respects Big Blue but his makes no qualms about who is the number one team he likes to beat. Brady goes into Monday night with a 5-3 overall record against the Giants. The former Patriots legend is 4-1 against New York's NFC franchise in the regular season and 0-2 in the big game.
Art Staple of northjersey.com quoted a recent interview from Brady's podcast, "The team I would love to beat the most is the Giants, there’s no doubt about that," Brady said last month on his Sirius XM podcast with Jim Gray and Larry Fitzgerald. "I’ve always joked with Eli [Manning] but, yeah, and I think he likes that I bring it up all the time. So to bring it up again, I do not like losing to those guys. So when we beat them, I love that.”
That pretty much sums it up. On Monday, the (6-3) Tampa Bay Bucs, who are riding a two game skid as they host the slightly heating up (3-6) New York Giants. Brady will look to get his team back on track against a team he loves to beat.
