Wow, all of a sudden, the sky is getting a bit darker. The clouds they're...they're rolling in fast. The wind is really starting to pick up, too. Wait, did you hear that? Is that...is it...THUNDER?!

[End scene]

You heard that right, people standing outside holding golf clubs in the air trying to tempt fate. The Thunder are BACK for the 2021-22 season, as the East Coast Hockey League announced the schedule for the upcoming season. The schedule is comprised of 72 games, 36 of which will be played in front of packed stands at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glen Falls, NY.

Let's dive into the details a bit, shall we?

The season begins on Saturday, October 23rd at 7PM when the Thunder host the Newfoundland Growlers. The Growlers are the ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and both teams are sure to be packed with young prospects eager to make an impact after COVID-19 drastically altered the 2020-21 season in the ECHL.

The Growlers game kicks off a three-game homestand to begin the season and conclude the month of October. The team returns home on November 12th for a three-game weekend series against Utah, before returning home for a weekend set surrounding Thanksgiving Day. There's no better time to take the family to the Cool Insuring Arena than Thanksgiving weekend, in my opinion.

From November through April, the Thunder will have at LEAST five home games every month, so you'll have plenty of chances to watch the New Jersey Devils' affiliate take the ice. Tickets are going fast, so make sure you visit https://www.echlthunder.com/en/tickets for more info.
