What A Run It Was This Season For The Adirondack Thunder
What more can you say about head coach Pete MacArthur and this Adirondack Thunder team. They had a historic season and the most successful one in team history. The season finally came to an end in Glens Falls at the Cool Insuring Arena on Tuesday night in a 4-3 loss to Florida. They were two wins away from the Kelly Cup Finals which is incredible. Florida is a good team too as they are the reigning two time Kelly Cup champions. They will be back and better than ever next year. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
Just when you count out the Adirondack Thunder, they get a must win in Game 5 stave off elimination and send the Eastern Conference Finals Series against Florida Everblades back to Glens Falls on Tuesday. Head coach Pete MacArthur pushes all the right buttons with his roster and his message to his team and once again they responded. They are resilient team who heads back to Cool Insuring Arena where they need back-to-back wins to advance to the Kelly Cup Finals. No matter how it plays out it's been a remarkable season.

It is amazing to think that MacArthur accomplished all of this in just his second year. The fans of the Adirondack Thunder are next level with their dedication. They consistently sell out most nights and put 5,000 or more fans inside that arena. It is sad to see the great run finally come to an end but the Thunder should keep their heads high and be proud of what they accomplished.
