UAlbany Men’s Basketball Wins First Conference Game
The UAlbany Men's Basketball team got into the win column in the America East Conference with a 57-47 win over UMass Lowell. Head Coach Dwayne Killings talked to us about the victory and the direction the team is going in conference play. Listen to the interview above! Now in the game Dre Perry had a night to forget but his teammates picked him up. Some big 3's from Matt Cerruti, Aaron Reddish and Chuck Champion. Paul Newman had a monster game and was the impact player for me. If you take out his defensive rebounds he still would have had a double-double as he had a whopping 11 offensive rebounds. He had a heck of a battle with the RiverHawks' Max Brooks (who had 10 blocks) but Newman's rebounding and put backs made the difference.
Giants Co-Owner John Mara admitted on Wednesday that his proud franchise hit an all-time low this season with no end in sight, and that’s why he fired head coach Joe Judge. Mara needs to make sure he doesn’t make any more mistakes when it comes to hiring coaches. Ben McAdoo and Pat Shurmur were bad hires, and then Judge didn’t work out either. There will be plenty of candidates, and the new General Manager will have a big say, but the Giants need a coach with a proven track record. Giants Ownership has taken a credibility hit the last 6 seasons, and the next head coach needs to the change the climate. The Giants have gone from one of the best franchises in the NFL to one of the worst.
