Not that you needed another reason to drink some great New York beers, but if you're gonna choose a brand, take a look at some of these that will help the poor people of California.

Earlier this week, a few Upstate New York brewers have announced that they will be creating new brews and sending money from them to the Camp Fire Relief Fund, according to New York Upstate.

It all started with Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. that's based in a California town that was threatened by the wildfires. It had to shut down for a few days during the height of the fire but decided to brew a special beer to give proceeds to the Camp Fire Relief Fund. Then, they challenged other breweries to do the same.

More than 400 of the 7,000 craft breweries in the country responded and that included about 20 in Upstate New York. Breweries that are participating were each send a recipe to create the American IPA. You can get the full list of breweries on the Sierra Nevada website but here are a few names that you may recognize from around here.

  • Brown's Brewing, Troy
  • Chatham Brewing, Chatham
  • Northway Brewing Co, Queensbury
  • Rare Form Brewing Co, Troy
