Upstate NY Road Rage Incident! Driver With Gun Threatens Man and Kids?
Road Rage! Sure, many of us have cursed the driver that cut us off and sometimes the urge to do more crosses your mind. Is that road rage? Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines the act as a motorist's uncontrolled anger that is usually provoked by another motorist's irritating act and is expressed in aggressive or violent behavior.
If that is the definition of road rage, what took place in Upstate New York recently is Mega-Road Rage! This case involves cars, kids and guns!
New York State Police are reporting an incident that took place at approximately 3PM on Sunday July 10th. The initial report stated that a man was menacing another motorist with a firearm. Troopers were able to catch up with the suspect on I-684 North in the town of Southeast, NY.
Following the troopers investigation it appears the suspect and another driver got into a road rage incident. The suspect allegedly threatened the victim, who had kids in the car, with an H&K P2000 9MM handgun. That gun along with an H&K VP9 9MM handgun and a Sig Sauer 5.56 AR-15 style rifle and a noncompliant ammunition feeding device were also in the suspects possession illegally.
New York State Troopers arrested Justin D. Blundell, age 23, of Lexington, MA and charged him with the following:
