USA Bobsledder, Whitehall Native Eyes Gold in Korea
Codie Bascue is living out his dream. The 23-year old from Whitehall is headed to the Olympics as Team USA bobsled's top driver. Bascue has already had an incredibly impressive winter driving the two-man and four-man sleds. In November, he and his teammates won gold and bronze at the World Cup in Lake Placid driving hopes high for what the Americans may bring home from South Korea in a month.
Bascue's time in a bobsled goes back to when he was eight years old, but he also found plenty of success in other sports at Whitehall. Bascue was a Newschannel 13 Athlete of the Week and he played quarterback for the Railroaders.
