Many of us have an extended three day weekend for Labor Day. Me personally I don't plan on a ton of travel this weekend but Cars.com believes 60% of Americans plan on traveling this weekend and 88% of those travelers plan on driving. So here are a few sports-related activities you could travel to this weekend in case you're ready to battle all the other road warriors out there.

PR News Wire spoke to Kelsey Mays, senior consumer affairs editor for Cars.com who said that 60% of Americans traveling for Labor Day is up from 34% on Memorial day. So where can a sports fan go this weekend?

The Baseball Hall of Fame is open and you wouldn't need to quarantine afterward. Any Baseball lover will love the Hall but make sure you schedule your trip in advance.

You could head down to the city and walk the Governor's Island. There are of course special rules and safety standards. I realize this is more of an athletic type event than a typical sporting event but this was way harder than I thought it would be.

The Fall LOC Derby is happening right now in Lyons New York if you love fishing. ILoveNY.com describes the Fall LOC Derby as:

Fish in Lake Ontario during Wayne County's Fall LOC Derby. Compete for $67,400 in cash prizes. Four divisions: Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, and Walleye. Register at 22 participating marinas and outfitters from Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Cayuga, Oswego, and Jefferson counties. See the website for details.

Don't miss "The Lost World of Dragons"! LOOK I know this isn't really sports but there's nothing happening this weekend! ILoveNY.com describes it as:

Calling all adventurers! Be whisked off to a fantastical land when The Lost World of Dragons exhibit swoops into The Strong. Come face to face with animatronic versions of these magical, mythical creatures.

Whatever you choose to do this weekend I hope you enjoy yourself and stay safe.
