Who Wins the All-SEC National Championship? Marcus Spears Breaks It Down
Are you bored by the dominance of the SEC? Not me. It is the best conference in college football and another all-SEC National Championship game proves it. In my mind, Georgia showed itself to be the best team in the country with its play and its schedule. For many other people, Alabama has been the best squad regardless of its soft non-conference schedule. And here we are: Georgia vs Alabama Monday night.
Like I said, I have been big on Georgia all season and I picked them to beat Oklahoma but I don't think I have the guts to pick them to beat the Crimson Tide. Consider a couple of things: the Bulldogs have a freshman quarterback against a Nick Saban-led defense and Alabama has somehow been able to create a rallying cry of being an underdog this bowl season; a team some would say didn't deserve one of the four playoff spots despite being a winning machine during The Saban Years.
I'm going against some instincts here (I love the two-headed running attack for Georgia and even the poise of Jake Fromm), but give me Alabama to win its fifth National Championship under Saban.
