The New York State Baseball Hall of Fame is coming up on Sunday, November 3rd and one of the greatest and most-beloved Yankees will be inducted. Ron Guidry won one of the biggest games in franchise history - the 1978 one-game playoff against the Red Sox. That was Guidry's 25th win of the season and New York went on to win its second straight World Series title.

Guidry's connection to the Capital Region still stands as one of the most well-attended sporting events in the area. The dominant lefty pitched at Heritage Park, an appearance which set the record for a crowd at that field.

Louisiana Lightning, as he's still known today, will be on hand in Albany for the ceremony and he joined Big Board Sports this week to reflect back on his career and the honor in front of him.
