The Yankees need to flip a switch on Tuesday in Cleveland in the first round of the Major League Baseball playoffs. Yankees are capable of playing much better, but they’ve lost 6 of their last 8 games and are not hitting. Gerrit Cole needs to earn his money and pitch a playoff gem, because what he did in the regular season doesn’t count. Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton both need to step up, otherwise they will get bounced in the first round which would be embarrassing. If they can beat Cy Young favorite Shane Bieber in game one, I like their chances with Masahiro Tanaka, who consistently wins post season games, gets the start on Wednesday. Tanaka can either pitch the clinching game on Wednesday or help the Yankees force a deciding game 3 on Thursday.
