Three-time National League MVP Albert Pujols will be out for 4-6 weeks with a broken forearm.  One thing about this injury is amazing.

Albert Pujols was hurt on Sunday after colliding with Royals third baseman Wilson Betemit.  Betemit hit a chopper up the middle.  Cardinals second baseman Pete Kozma backhanded the ball and pulled Pujols off of first base with his throw.  Pujols tried to tag Betemit and had his wrist snapped back due to the inadvertent collision.

It's amazing to me how little attention this story has gotten.  Pujols is one of the best players in baseball.  Injuries that other superstars have suffered in other sports have led to more discussions.  Heck, when Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo suffered a shoulder injury last year, it dominated sports headlines.  Tony Romo isn't even a superstar.

If Tom Brady gets hurt, stop the presses.  If LeBron James is writhing around on the basketball court in pain, stop the presses.  Albert Pujols gets hurt and you can hear a pin drop.  The story of Albert Pujols' injury definitely hasn't registered in a big way on the national sports scene.
