NCAA Rules Siena Basketball’s Lionel Gomis, Imoh Silas Ineligible For Season

It looks like the Siena men's basketball team will be a much smaller club when they take the court this season.

The NCAA has ruled that freshman forwards Lionel Gomis and Imoh Silas both ineligible for the 2011-12 campaign.  However, both players will be allowed to return to the Saints roster next season.

Are You A Fantasy Football Junkie?

I could sit here and tell you about how excited I am about the Redskins win over the Giants last week.  But I'm not going to lie - that's not really what made me happy in week #1 of the NFL season.

Both of my fantasy football teams had a really good week.  And what I'm about to tell you might make you mad or might make you realize you're just like me.

Tom Brady – The Best NFL Player In The Last 20 Years

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady put on quite a show last night.  Brady threw for 517 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Patriots' 38-24 win over the Dolphins last night.  Brady’s 517 yards in 5th most all time in a single game.

It made me realize one intriguing thing about #12.

Siena’s Davis Martens Out For Season Following Hip Surgery

A week after learning that two incoming men's basketball recruits will be ineligible this season, the Siena men's basketball team got even more bad news today.

Junior forward Davis Martens will miss the entire 2011-12 season after undergoing hip surgery to repair a labrum tear on August 30th.

The New York Giants 1st team offense didn't look good in the preseason and they didn't look good in their season opener today either.

The Giants were shutout in the 2nd half as the Washington Redskins defeated New York, 28-14 in Landover, Maryland.

Union College Football Suffers Heartbreaking Loss To Utica

Senior quarterback Drew Connolly became the 5th quarterback in Union College football history to pass for 5,000 yards in a career.

But the Dutchmen lost at Utica College, 28-27 Saturday night in Utica. The Pioneers improved to 2-0 while Union fell to 0-2.
