Epic ‘Jeopardy’ Fail On Easy Hockey Question [VIDEO]

It has long been the stereotypical view that academia and athleticism don't mix. Like oil and water or Kanye and Techno (see "Yeezus"), scholars and jocks have rarely blended well. And yesterday night, this was on full display once more.

I don't want to spoil the video for you, so I won't tell you the priceless answer that this Jeopardy contestant gave to the question “100 plus assists in an NHL season has been accomplished only 13 times, 11 times by this player." Let's just say he didn't get guess it right.

To his credit, my man Joe did win the night, and has lived to fight another day. Making money and going viral? Doesn't get much better than that.

Reflections on Ralph Wilson

The death of Ralph Wilson at 95 years of age doesn't come as a surprise to the football community, but the news has still been received with very heavy hearts. Earlier today on Joe & Brix Brent Axe, the former host of Buffalo Bills radio, joined the program to share his thoughts and perspective on the passing of Wilson. During the conversation Axe shared his memories of the owner's induction into the NFL Hall of Fame, his impact on Western New York and his legacy in the game.

Knicks Protest Is An Embarrassment [VIDEO]

We've been hearing about it for months, waiting for the day to arrive. It was supposed to be the impetus for change, the keystone moment for the New York Knicks franchise.

No, I'm not talking about the debut of Phil Jackson, I'm talking about the well publicized fan protest held outside MSG yesterday. And lets just say it didn't go too well.

Check out this video of the couple dozen die-hards who called in sick to help spark change for their beloved Knicks. They brought about as much intensity as their team brings to a January game against the Bobcats. The word pathetic doesn't do it justice.

Can Phil Save The Knicks? [POLL]

It's official: Phil Jackson is the new President in charge of basketball operations for the New York Knicks. The question now is, can he deliver?

After being formally announced at a press conference earlier today, the 11-time NBA Champion has his hands full with questions to answer and moves to make. His coach is a lame duck for all intents and purposes, his Super Star is planning to opt out and his team is fighting for their playoff lives in one of the weakest conferences in NBA history. Oh, and on top of all of that he's got no first round pick this off-season and he's got major salary restrictions through the 2014-2015 season.

So, with all that said, do you think the Zen Master can pull off the impossible and bring a championship to New York.

Sports Science Host John Brenkus Breaks Down Tanaka [AUDIO]

The mystery of Masahiro Tanaka has been one of the biggest storylines of the Yankees 20014 offseason. The Bombers' new $155 million man went 24-0 in the Japanese league last year, but his “stuff” has largely been clouded in mystery. We know that Tanaka’s best pitch is his splitter, but its effectiveness at the major league level has been widely speculated about.

That’s why Joe & Brix on 104.5 The Team tracked down John Brenkus of ESPN’s Sports Science to get some answers. Brenkus and his team recently broke down Tanaka’s repertoire and provided unique insight into how he will transition into the majors.
