In the aftermath of his near-death experience while playing for the Buffalo Bills back in January, Damar Hamlin has done a lot of good for other people in his life. Hamlin has become an advocate for bringing AED machines to as many athletic complexes as possible, and has even asked Congress to help him with this endeavor.

He's raised money and awareness across the country, and now, he's onto a new challenge: helping his grandmother get the home of her dreams.

Damar Hamlin Appears on CBS Reality TV Show to Help His Grandmother

A story from New York Upstate shared the news that Damar Hamlin, safety for the Buffalo Bills, would be appearing on an episode of CBS' Celebrity Renovation. The episode aired on Friday, September 1st, and can be found on-demand on the CBS website.

Hamlin, along with other athletes, musicians and celebrities who appear on the show, get the opportunity to provide someone in their lives with a free home renovation. For Hamlin, it was a family affair, as he chose his grandmother, Portia.

Damar Hamlin's journey back to the football field came full-circle earlier this month, when the Buffalo Bills ended their training camp, and Hamlin's name was on the 53-man roster. That happened less than nine months after Hamlin collapsed on-the-field after making a tackle in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, a health event that was determined to be cardiac arrest.

He and the Buffalo Bills open their season against the New York Jets on Monday, September 11th. All Bills' games during the 2023 season can be heard on 104.5 The Team, with conflicting games moving to 103.9 The Breeze.
